Scope of Work: Lonestar Prestress Mfg, Inc manufactured this 20x80x12 precast concrete substation building for HP's new data storage facility in Hockley, TX. The EASI-SPAN precast concrete building was erected on a poured in place foundation provided by ECP Tech, the general contractor who provides design build services in the substation construction industry. The precast concrete building was required to match an existing off white, etched finish and contained multiple doors including one large doorway with a series of removable panels to allow equipment to be installed and or removed over time. The post tensioned EASI-SPAN roof panels provide a weather tight roof with no membranes or coatings to maintain, while the 6.5" thick steel reinforced insulated concrete sandwich panels provide the building with an R-26 insulation rating.
